Reading Yahoo mail on the PS3

I have been using my PS3 for internet access recently and I had a hard time getting into my yahoo mail until I discovered this really simple trick. First you need a Flikr account so if you have one good if not sign up for one it's free. I have read post that you have to merge this and that you don't need to

now while on the PS3 go to Flikr and sign in. when the page with the different language greetings appears push the button on your controller that brings up the address of the page I think it is the select button but whichever one it is bring it up.

now erase the current web page address with L1+square. now simply type in yahoomail.com, this should take you to your mail in-box and voila!

when you are finished reading mail signout of yahoo and go back to Flikr and sign out of that too. if you have a different yahoo email address than your one tied to Flikr it doesn't matter simple type in your email address and password in the Flikr log in and after go to yahoomail. if a box tells you to create a new whatever ignore it and just type yahoo mail in the address bar.

now for the way yahoo mail looks on the PS3 I have found no way to fix it. also when you try to send email on the PS3 it can get a little buggy so you may have to turn off javascript in tools to send mail .

LOST "THE END"

the TV show LOST has shown its last episode and I am unsure how I feel about the episode. It was full of emotion and character interactions that has been a big part of the show for its run but the ending has left more questions unanswered. First let me say someone online said that the stuff that happened on the island really happened which I thought was not true. I figure if they don't survive the original crash all the fantastical elements of the show could be explained but if they do how are all the weird happenings possible.

I never really thought LOST was a sci-fi show but if all the stuff on the island was supposedly real then it will have to be considered that way. what has not been explained is all the coincidences of the character interactions before the plane crash.

so someone online explained that the whole "sideways flash" was not because of the bomb but a place the dead survivors created until they were ready to move on to the next phase of death. since there is no time frame the people in the universe could have been in purgatory or limbo for years until Desmond helps them move on. so when jack dies on the island at the end of the show he goes to the purgatory place?

who knows what the writers intended but it was a good show

For my nephew's birthday I decided to make a figure of his character Shadow Rabbit from the aptly named "Adventures Of Shadow Rabbit" webcomic he does . I found a site called ntoonz.com by Lanin D. Thomasma that specialized in this.
I had my nephew draw pictures of Shadow Rabbit from 3 angles: front, side and back. I scanned it....

After sending payment and a not so long wait, these are some digital pictures Lanin sent me of his completed work before the figure arrived.

It looked pretty good, considering another guy wanted to charge me like 200 bucks to do it, this was a lot more in my price range.

I love gameshows especially the kind that have questions you can answer. One of my favorites is Jeopardy! along with CashCab. A part of Jeopardy! is the Clue Crew Established in 2001. The Clue Crew travels the globe recording video clues for Jeopardy! the Clue Crew has traveled to 45 states and 31 countries. I asked one member of the clue crew how she became part of it and she was awesome enough to answer my question.

Kelly Miyahara: "I saw the ad 5 years ago. My mom and dad were the first to tell me about it. I thought it looked like a dream job, but never imagined it would become a reality. Boy, am I glad I applied! After sending in my audition tape and application, I received an invitation to 1 of 6 casting auditions across the country. Mine was in Los Angeles. I received a call back that day, then later was invited to the "Finals." 9 Finalists were involved that weekend in L.A. for an audition/interview process. It was an amazingly fun process and I could hardly believe that it would get better. It did! I have been with the show for 5 seasons now. I love my job!"

I watched the new TV show FLASHFORWARD on ABC and it was pretty interesting. Since LOST came out and made it big the trend has been to have these large cast mysterious dramas on but few have had the same success. This new show is based on a book and seems promising. A quick description of the show is in order I guess.

"A mysterious global event causes everyone on the planet to simultaneously lose consciousness for 137 seconds, during which people worldwide see what appear to be visions of their lives six months in the future(April 29,2010). Shaquille Oneal can add another nickname to his list the big cavalier. It became official today the future hall of famer will team with Lebron James on the Cleveland Cavaliers after the big diesel was sent to the Cavs for underachieving forward Ben Wallace and missing in action Sasha Pavlovic.

The move almost guarantees the Cavs a trip to the NBA finals. Shaquille has been to the NBA finals with every team he has played on except the Phoenix suns that did not know how to incorporate one of the best centers of all time into their line up.

Cleveland should be saving for that victory parade now so they will have enough money.

With apologies to the Rachel Maddow show for jacking their title, the Governor of South Carolina finally showed up today.

After being harder to find than Carmen Sandiego and Waldo governor Mark Sanford finally was found not on the Appalachian trail but in Argentina on a erotic getaway. In a press conference Sanford revealed that he had been having an affair with a woman in Argentina so it stands to reason that is why he was there on his erotic adventure.

At the press conference made all the more strange by several giggling bystanders behind him, he apologized profusely to everyone: his kids, his wife, his political allies and to the people of South Carolina.

The press conference made for interesting news but it was not really necessary to do. the governor simply could have let out a statement explaining his whereabouts and then gradually revealed his affair to the public. nowadays it seems anyone that cheats has to throw themselves on the altar of public opinion with a press conference complete with regretful tears and the understanding wife by their side.

well at least now we know why the Governor originally turned down the stimulus packet, he was getting his own stimulus packet on the side.

I was accidentally watching the Bill O'Reilly show and the topic was gay marriage. He said something that made me think. he said something to the effect that gay marriage could not be legalized because then people would be able to marry animals and ducks and claim equal protection if they were not allowed. that is a paraphrase not an exact quote.

I realized that O'Reilly is wrong because marriage has been defined, not just here but in mostly all countries in the world. A law saying marriage is between two consenting adults would quell all people scared of the odd marriage: man and duck, man and computer, woman and Dennis Rodman.

throughout the history of the USA marriage has been regulated with laws, there are still miscegenation laws on the books someplace forbidding interracial marriages . You can't marry a person unless they are of legal age. You can't be married to more than one wife at a time and you can't have more than one wife at a time.

so define marriage as a union between two consenting adults and all will be well.

I am a fan of the Tomb Raider franchise so I was surprised today when I discovered someone had made a fan film based on the game's heroine entitled Lara Croft TombRaider: Tears Of The Dragon . There are probably hundreds of fan made films floating on You Tube but I have never seen one so I am anxious to see this one . This is how the website for the movie describes the film's story.

In Santa Monica, California a judge threw out a contempt-of-court conviction and ordered a new trial for a woman who was the voice of Lucy in several ``Peanuts'' TV specials and is accused of harassing UCLA faculty members who conduct research on animals, her lawyer said Thursday.

Pamelyn Ferdin had faced up to five days in jail and a $1,000 fine until Wednesday11, 2009 when Superior Court Judge John Segal voided her 2008 conviction based on what a UCLA attorney called a technicality.

Segal scheduled a new trial for April 28, said Ferdin's attorney George Seide.

Ferdin, 50, was convicted of violating a court injunction that barred harassment of faculty at the University of California, Los Angeles.

Last June, Ferdin demonstrated outside the home of a UCLA primate researcher and handed out fliers that included home addresses, phone numbers and photographs of some researchers, Seide said.

A previous injunction against other animal rights activists barred such activity. A judge found that Ferdin was acting ``in concert'' with them, even though she wasn't named in the injunction, Seide said.

At trial, Ferdin testified she had downloaded the flier from a Web site and wasn't aware that the information fell under the injunction.

In fighting the conviction, Seide argued that Ferdin's constitutional rights were violated because she wasn't informed that she had the right to counsel and of her right against self-incrimination before she took the stand.

It has snowed here in Richmond before this time but this is the first one that has had any major accumulation this year. The strange thing about this storm is that I saw lightning too. I had never heard of a thunderstorm happening at the same time as a snow fall so i looked it up here is what I found out.

As I have gotten older Christmas has had less and less meaning for me. When I was a kid I was all about the presents but somewhere down the line not being able to give gifts like I wanted soured me on the holiday.

Now mostly I enjoy Christmas vicariously through my nephew, making sure he gets the hottest games for whatever video game system he has. Recently in the last few years I have gained some enjoyment by sending or giving out Christmas cards.

Mailing them to people,leaving them on windshields, giving them to cashiers at the bank and drive through restaurants,some I don't even know. So another show I like is going to be canceled. The Nielsen’s ratings system really needs to be overhauled, are we really suppose to believe the opinions of a few people are the viewing habits of millions of Americans. Anyway about Pushing Daises it is one of the most creative and interesting shows to come to prime time TV in a loooooong time, I'll be sorry to see it go.

I guess I should describe the show a bit for the uninformed. The series is about a guy named Ned that is a pie maker with a unique ability, the ability to bring the dead back to life with a touch, he also can "redead" them by another touch. The only drawback is if he does not redead something after 60 seconds something or someone else has to die to balance the scales out.

he is joined on the show by his partner Emerson Cod, a private investigator that uses Ned's gift to help solve crimes and his childhood friend and girlfriend Charlotte(A woman he brought back to life and can never touch again or she will die again). The rest of the cast is rounded out by his waitress , Olive Snook and Charlotte's two aunts Vivian and Lily Charles. also his revived dog Digby.

To some blacks the Republican party seems a party mostly concerned with the welfare of the white and rich and a friend of business over the little man. Candace Parker received the WNBA's most valuable player award , becoming the first player to win the award along with the rookie of the year. The Los Angeles star was unanimously selected rookie of the year.

The awards capped a big run for Parker, who was college player of the year last season for national champion Tennessee. Parker also was a member of the gold-medal winning U.S. team in the Beijing Olympics.

Parker, the top overall draft pick this year, averaged 18.5 points and 9.5 rebounds. She had a high of 40 points and grabbed 10 or more rebounds in 17 games. She led the league in double-doubles with 17, led the league in rebounding and led rookies in scoring, blocks (2.3 bpg) and minutes (33.6 mpg).

She is the new face of the Wnba as stated by hall of famer Cheryl Miller. An athletic 6 footer that is mobile, agile and can handle the basketball. She is also the only woman to dunk twice in woman's professional sports

Heath care is a big problem in this country, the United States, affordable health care I should say. Although we have some of the best doctors in the world you really can’t afford to get sick. I recently went to the hospital after having a slight tightness in my stomach/chest region since I am overweight my family assumed it was heart problems. Well my visit to the hospital consisted of breathing in some medicine that was supposed to help clear my airways, taking some aspirin, having them draw blood for test and taking two pictures. I took one on a standing x-ray like machine and another on a machine similar to an MRI. I’m not sure but I had to lie down on it and be scanned from above. Well I got my doctor bill, which was $400.00, and today I got my bill for the rest, which was a whopping $8000.They wanted me to come back and take some more tests there is no telling how much that would have cost.

After six years and a whole lot of songs R Kelly has been acquitted of having sex with a minor. Now I have never seen the tape but enough people have to be reasonably sure it is R Kelly. Yet again a video tape does nothing to solidify a guilty verdict, as long as people are involved things on a video can be explained away, I don't know if this is a good or bad thing. The Rodney king case was not helped by a video tape the officers were found not guilty until a riot and a civil case so... tape at your peril

I read something online recently from one of the actors that plays the part of johnny storm in the Fantastic Four movies. He said he does not think there will be a third and by the words he said in the piece it seemed like he was not up for another anyway. I along with a lot of other fans of the comic were... are, disappointed by the way the movies have been presented. My first problem was with the casting, not that Jessica Alba is not pretty but she somehow never captured the essence of Susan Richards not just her being half white and Mexican but that she is more pin up material than actress. I always thought they should have gone with like Scarlett Johansson or to go older some one like the actress from the movie Boogie Nights, Heather Graham. Reed Richards as portrayed in the movie is a little weak not the confident scientist as in the books. The Thing or Ben Grimm was cast okay. The best performances and most interesting characters in both movies have been the Human Torch and Doctor Doom. I am in the process of writing a script for FF3 entitled Quest For The Cosmic Rod. I don't know if it will ever see the light of day but I am making it for my own pleasure.

metal gear solid

I did not know anything about MetalGearSolid before I played the demo but when I played the game I was blown away. The game was very cinematic in its approach and the stealth element was new to me after playing Tombraider where you can go in guns blazing and survive if you had enough medipacks. Another interesting thing was the interaction with the colonel and other advisers through codec. The demo had me hooked and i went out and got the game and discovered a complex story filled with drama and twist and turns. Like Ratchet and Clank, Snake can hold an array of weapons, some real and some fake. Metal gear is on its last game now and I think the franchise is one of the most important in video game history, console history at the least.

The Incredible Hulk returns to the big screen with an all-new movie after the much-maligned version by director Ang Lee. Personally I liked the performances in Lee’s version although it did not have the action that a lot of comic fans wanted. I hope this version is superior and it should be with the cast lined up to star - Edward Norton, Tim Roth, William Hurt and Liv Tyler. Although Liv does not have the acting chops, she is competent

Today Serena Williams beat Maria Sharapova in a tennis match and it got me thinking about the reception the golden girl has gotten. When Venus and Serena arrived on the seen, two little black girls with beads in their hair they were thought of as somewhat of a novelty until they started to win. Then the criticism kicked in, they did too many commercials, they didn't practice enough and constant challenges from past great female players. Even loud mouth John McEnroe challenged them to a match, which was strange because I never remembered him challenging Martina Navratilova or Steffi Graf to a match.

But getting back to Sharapova,when she came around she was lauded as the great beautiful goddess,on every magazine cover praised by commentators even though she had only won one major tennis event. To be honest in the looks department she is average Anna Kournikova still runs circles around her but since she has some skill and the average female tennis player looks average, she is called hot by comparison like a rose between thorns or the lesser of two uglies.

A lot of the female tennis players are butter faces "everything looks good but her face" I call this phenomenon the great white hope syndrome. When blacks dominate something like music or sports when someone white comes along and is as good as them they are considered the greatest of all time. Eminem is another example, he is a good rapper one of the best of all time CERTAINLY but he does not deserve to be championed as the best ever just because he is white.

People who have never listened to rap listen to him just because he is white. The foreign actress Zhang Zhiyi listened to him and she could not even understand what he was saying because she does not know English.

I have been coming online for about 8 or 9 years now and in all that time I have had only two people that I considered close friends from online. They both lived far away from me. One in CA the other in AZ. both female. Anyway the first was this girl and I got so involved in her life that I used to call her a lot, sent her valentines chocolate, birthday cards what have you. Later on I found out it was all a game and she was playing me for a joke lying to me about everything...that hurt. The other girl we were not as close but I still considered her a friend. I sent her a gift on her birthday and always remembered her birthday even if I could only send her an e-card. Recently I realized something when I was chatting with her online that I don't matter to her at all. All the conversations we had were about her and her family she never asked anything about me or took any interest in anything I was doing. She never initiated a conversation online and if she answered my question it would be terse one-line answers sometimes. She never sent me a birthday card e-card or real. So I had to tell myself that SHE WAS NOT REALLY MY FRIEND.

Byrne victim

I am a marvel zombie from way back, I used to collect comics but I stopped some time ago. One of my favorite artists was John Byrne, the dude could draw although his depiction of black people was a little limited it was okay because not many black people showed up in the comics. My only prob with Byrne was his way of putting little sneaky racial stuff in his works.

A while ago in his website he used the word "nigger" in a rather offensive way. I know how can you use it in a non-offensive way. The problem I had was that he compared the use of the N-word as being interchangeable with black, like the two words for the word bubbles in comics that hold the dialogue of the characters. I don’t know about you but "word balloon" and "word bubble" has never been as repugnant as "nigger" to me. Not only was his analogy wrong but also it was gross and a little racist. I just think it was a way for the dude to say his own feelings. As for some of his works I have a problem with, they are numerous.

Fantastic four- (241) Byrne finally uses the Black Panther in a story but it is destroyed by his antagonist being a racist, a Greek or Roman racist too at a time when the kind of racism that exist today the villain would not even be aware of

Captain America- (I am not sure of the issue number) Captain America is having a flashback about being in school and the pictures are an obvious play on the little rascals and there is buckwheat pictured as an inkspot. I don’t know if it was the colorist’s doing or the way it was drawn but I am sure Byrne was happy with the results.

Marvel Fanfare- (29) Hammer and Anvil star in this issue. They are marvel comic’s play on The Defiant Ones (one is black the other is white)and they battle the hulk. In the end of the story a mysterious stranger blast one of the two in the face with a gun (guess which one?)

Omac limited series- here we have Byrne doing a reworking of the classic Kirby character (Kirby being the one artist he is compared to most and he has chased his whole career) there is one scene that has been changed from the original comics. A scene depicting how to relieve stress. There are these dolls that you can kick and beat up. Well Byrne decided that one of the dolls should be black complete with wide mouth and white lips. A change from the original drawing by Kirby.

Radio talk show host Bill Cunningham made some comments at John McCain's rally that some thought were a little out of line so McCain apologized for the comments and distanced himself from the guy. This made Cunningham spitting mad so he decided he was through with McCain and would lend his support to Hillary Clinton. All i have to say is "who are you again?" That has always bothered me. why anyone cares what these people say or think. they are part of the self same media they rail against. Bill O'reilly, Rush Limbaugh, Ann Coulter, Ariana Huffington, Keith Oberman all TV or radio personalities or authors. Not politicians or the people that vote for the candidates, why should I care what Rush(drug addict) Limbaugh thinks. these people are as arrogant as movie critics that criticize every movie and try to tell you what you should be watching.

Why We Watch The Oscars

The ratings for the Oscars were low and people wondered why? I imagine that the ratings fluctuate each year depending on what and who is nominated. I can give a little insight into why I watch certain broadcast which may shine some light on the ratings. I only watch the Oscars win I am interested in who will win, I am not that big a fan of acting that I will watch regardless. I think the show is really a show for actors sort of a high school award ceremony for Hollywood. I watched one year when lord of the rings was nominated.

One year I watched because Chris rock was hosting and I wanted to see what he would say.

Other years actors were nominated that gave performances that the public were really buzzed about and the actors were famous or well known.

And when three 6 mafia was nominated for "it's hard out here for a pimp" i tuned in to see how they would be received by the usually stodgy Oscars.

I am not a heathen I believe in a God. Or at least a higher spiritual universe what I don't believe in is man's limited understanding of the universe. Not too long ago mankind was worshiping all types of gods, gods in trees, gods of the wind, gods of mischief. Every culture has their set of gods. Christianity is just another religion in a long line of religions. Every so often there is a report that "biblical artifact proven true" or "biblical city unearthed" the bible was written a long time ago of course they are going to write about what they knew. If the bible was written today in America it would be filled with exploits of the going ons in the states of America. Just because some archaeologists dig up some brick wall that is supposed to be Sodom or Gomorrah it is not going to make me believe that a woman turned to salt. I am supposed to take the word of ancient man on religion? Do we take the word of ancient man on anything else? Does medicine still believe demons make us sick, do we still think the earth is flat but yet and still we still follow the ancient thinking on our religions. Come on people plain common sense disputes a lot of the bible. A man living to be 800, 900 years old? A person coming back to life after being crucified, really? A virgin birth?

I was not surprised it was from the bunny ranch i had signed up for the newsletter but i was surprised at the prospect of being on the show. well i thought about it for a minute and finally decided , what the heck, i did everything asked and emailed them back and seconds later got this email response

We are victims of the modern age. We all are. Our ancestors, ancestors of man and womankind didn’t have to worry about the same things we do. Oh they had a lower life expectancy, no vaccines and Armageddon was going to happen every few years but not the same problems. No transfats, no hydrogenated oils, no radiation from cell phones, computer screens or microwaves, none of it. They were not 400 pounds blobbers needing to be cut out of their home, they did not live a sedentary life, and of course it is hard to live a sedentary lifestyle when your food might migrate to a different area while you slept. The air was cleaner only polluted by natural smokes from fires of forest and the occasional volcano eruption. But …..BUT, with all that said I don’t know if I would trade places with them if I had a choice. I mean they couldn’t order a large pepperoni pizza at 3am if they were hungry brought to your home and if they got a cold maybe they lived or maybe they died.

here is an interview i did with an actress for my old website
where are you from?

lindsay: I was born in Columbus, Ohio. But grew up in Pickerington, a suburb of Columbus.

how did you get into acting?

lindsay: I was always interested in acting, but wasn't able to take a class
until my sophomore year of High School.
The fall play that year had a part that was perfect for me
I auditioned and got it! Never looked back from that point on.

what was your first acting gig?

lindsay: About a year after I moved to LA, a role came up on the new hit show, Boston Public.
It was for an overweight female student who was beating up the kids who made fun of her.
The wrestling coach recruits her for the team and she finds success on the wrestling mat.
Even though I was non-union and inexperienced in front of the camera, I got the role. One of the best days of my life!
I went on to do three more episodes before my character died on the show.

tell me some of the things you have appeared in?

lindsay : Most memorable TV roles have probably been on Nip/Tuck, Joan of Arcadia, Law & Order: SVU,
Scrubs, Big Love, My Name is Earl and Cold Case.

what is next for you?

lindsay: I'm off to Montreal for a week in June to film an awesome scene opposite Steve Carrell in the big screen adaptation of "Get Smart"!
It's amazing, people will finally get to see me on the big screen!

The handy man can

I know this guy, a friend of my sister and he is a handy man of sorts or jack-of-all-trades if you will. He has fixed numerous things for my mother from fences to drywall to painting. He is surprisingly competent at most repairs although he loves to toot his own horn about the quality of his work. He is based in Richmond mostly but I think he would leave the state if someone wanted him. Pen Pal

I have this friend that is in prison, i found her name on a pen pal prison sight and i started writing her. I don't know if people deserve a second chance after they commit a heinous crime, i don't know if i could be that forgiving if it had been my relative. I guess i should say why she is in jail. some time ago she murdered a little girl,Autumn Wallace. Stabbed her like 50 times or something like that, she has never told me directly about her crime but i did some research on the internet, here is a link to a site about the case(court case) she got a little girl that was home alone to let her in and killed her. Rosie has told me she was on drugs during that period and that what happened was the influence of them. I was a bit shocked when i found out but i continued to write her. She seems remorseful for her crimes but either way she is on deathrow in California. If you would like to write her here is her address for letters

Terminator: The Sarah Conners Chronicles

I am a fan of the terminator series and all the movies except T3. Recently I recorded the terminator TV show, an original TV show based on the movies that takes place after the second one. So I watched and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by the show, I found it very enjoyable. Summer Glau makes a good terminator from an original model series that is closer to human than the Arnold Schwartzeneggar type also she is female so that makes a different dynamic between her and John Conner. Sarah is played tough but a little more compassionate than in T2. Hopefully it will stay on the air long enough to catch a following

the old year is almost dead, the traditional symbol of the new year coming is an old man turning over the new year to a baby but in keeping with true american sensibilities it should be represented by a pregnant woman giving birth to a new year understandably a girl so the cycle can continue on. i'll start the tradition and call her mother new year
