The Rainbow Connection

Rainbow I saw after it had rained one day

What are rainbows you ask? well I did a little research....very little, and the best that I can get is that rainbows are formed by light refracting through water drops in the atmosphere. I just think they are purty

snow and thunder?

It has snowed here in Richmond before this time but this is the first one that has had any major accumulation this year. The strange thing about this storm is that I saw lightning too. I had never heard of a thunderstorm happening at the same time as a snow fall so i looked it up here is what I found out.

"thunder snow as some call it does happen. It is certainly uncommon, but not rare,if there is enough energy in the atmosphere, and a lot of moisture, thunderstorm clouds can form and drop snow instead of rain when the temperatures are just below freezing."_Dave Thurlow host of The Weather Notebook
