the evil that men do

I caught the end of this story 60 Minutes was doing about cyber thieves. In the story this guy was driving past stores and stealing credit card information from wireless networks the stores had. The guy got a lot of info and later the reporter in the piece went to a place where a FBI agent was buying some info online from people selling other peoples information. That means if the store you shop at does not have up to date security someone could steal your information if you use a credit card. it makes you want to use cash exclusively.

HACKERS

On another similar note, why do people create viruses and Trojans and things like that. I was browsing pages on here recently and i got a Trojan from some page. Why create things to harm people's computers just to be an a***##Hole?

Bad Game Cinema

I am a fan of video games and some video games are good ideas and concepts that could be films but their translation to the big screen has left me with a bad taste in my mouth. almost all the video game movies have been bad with the exception of mortal kombat 1 which was just mediocre. Name me one, just one game film that was not horrible. Okay silent hill came close to matching the creepiness of the game but aside from that...all garbage. I was really disapointed by the tombraider and resident evil franchises. Angelina jolie was born to play Lara croft but both films have been mediocre with the games far surpassing them in excitement and depth. Resident evil went a totally different route from the game in the first movie only to try to make up for it in the second. Nemesis came off as a clown in the second film. Hopefully no more games will be made into films, stick to old tv shows and comic books.

ConFLAGration

I have this neighbor and one day he has his back door open and I see a confederate flag hanging on his wall. I don’t know this guy but I can assume only three things 1 he is a really big civil war buff 2 he is like into southern pride or 3 he is a racist. Now I don’t know him so I wont assume he is a racist built I never understood the fascination with the flag. No one has the early version of the flag when there were only a few states but people love to rock the confederate flag. To me it is a traitor’s flag. I mean look at what it represents a collection of states trying to break apart the union of the United States after freedom from England for about what/ almost 100 years. The south lost the war and yet you still see the flag. Never have losers of a war or battle been so arrogant. I don’t know if the English are bragging about losing the revolutionary war or if Germany has a lot of iron crosses flying everywhere or swastikas. I just don’t see the fascination with the civil war. Here in Virginia they actually have statues to the losers. The most important war was the revolutionary war, the one that helped America become independent. I don’t get it

BAD DOG

A little side note to the Charlie Brown Thanksgiving special. How slick is snoopy, playing dumb when he knows Charlie brown needs to cook for his friends and he conveniently forgets he has a turkey and all the trimmings in his doghouse. When Charlie brown invites his friends to eat dinner at his grandma's house everyone cheers. snoopy cheers the loudest because he finally can eat his real dinner not the crap he fixed with charlie brown!

pioneer of black television

Well Thanksgiving is here and Charlie Brown is back with his special. I always enjoyed it, but in the last few years I always wondered why segregated Franklin was on one side of the table. Four people on one side of the table, c'mon. Snoopy couldn't even sit beside a brother. It was a big deal for him to be there and not be a caricature so I reasoned since the special was made in the 60’s some folks were uneasy with him being included but still he was a black cartoon pioneer
