Trickiest Dick Of All

Just when you thought it was safe to be black again..Recently news surfaces that racism in the presidency is a real thing and not just imagined. A interview of top Nixon aide  John Ehrlichman
done with a reporter 22 years ago was just published by Harper's magazine which stated that essentially the 1969 "war on drugs" was created as a political tool to fight blacks and hippies.

Its well documented in the Nixon presidential tapes released after his death about his opinion of blacks and minorities...lets just say Nixon wasn't too fond of them. This new info shows just how much and to what level he hated them. J Edgar Hoover level of government abuse

"We knew we couldn't make it illegal to be either against the war or black, but by getting the public to associate the hippies with marijuana and blacks with heroin. And then criminalizing both heavily, we could disrupt those communities," Ehrlichman said. "We could arrest their leaders. raid their homes, break up their meetings, and vilify them night after night on the evening news. Did we know we were lying about the drugs? Of course we did." - John Ehrlichman

It seems the plot of the Blaxploitation parody Black Dynamite wasn't too far off base.
