you can make a comic

Remember being a kid and making home made comics. You used white paper, brown paper, loose leafed lined and created!

you folded and stapled them just like the big time publishers and voila!..

nowadays with the internet and photoshop and independent publishers you can have a professional looking comic just like the pros. even from a webcomic

supply a publisher with your comic and they can print them but they need to be print ready..


when we say print ready what do we mean? well they should be in what ever format the publisher wants:    tiff files, pdf files, jpeg etc...

the art should be finished and free of typos and the files should be at least 300 dpi (dots per inch)

most publishers have templates to help guide you but once they do you will have a slick new comic

Shadow Rabbit Figure

For my nephew's birthday I decided to make a figure of his character Shadow Rabbit from the aptly named "Adventures Of Shadow Rabbit" webcomic he does . I found a site called ntoonz.com by Lanin D. Thomasma that specialized in this. I had my nephew draw pictures of Shadow Rabbit from 3 angles: front, side and back. I scanned it....

...And colored it in Photoshop and sent it to Lanin

After sending payment and a not so long wait, these are some digital pictures Lanin sent me of his completed work before the figure arrived.

It looked pretty good, considering another guy wanted to charge me like 200 bucks to do it, this was a lot more in my price range.
